About Nomad Wool

Nomad Wool is run by me, Halide Bilginer, with the help of my family. We are a home-based business located in the coastal town of Kas, in Antalya province in the south of Turkey. We're originally from Sutlegen village, high in the Taurus mountains behind Kas, and  many of my extended family still live there and in the surrounding villages.

I started Nomad Wool to bring our traditional Turkish knitting yarns to an international market. In some countries, organic wool is being "rediscovered" by a new generation of knitters that care for their environment. In Turkey, by contrast, these home industries
